After a night of intense storms and tornadoes swept through the St.
Louis area, the World Bird Sanctuary announced the loss of Murphy, a
cherished 33-year-old bald eagle who became famous for trying to hatch a
rock. Experts say Murphy’s passing may have been influenced by the
severe weather.
