Children of Samantha Keithley
It is with a heavy heart we share the news Samantha Keithley
was taken from us. Heartbreakingly, her husband, a Hillsborough
County Sheriff’s Deputy, shot and killed Samantha and then turned the
gun on himself.
Samantha was a devoted and loving mother with four beautiful children and a flourishing real estate career. We are asking our community to come together to help and support the children and family during this difficult time. On behalf of the children, we have set up a Go Fund Me page to offer some assistance as we do not want the family to worry about finances during their time of grieving. Please consider donating. All proceeds will go to provide support for the children.

Cybercriminals Utilize Social Engineering Techniques To Obtain Employee Credentials To Conduct Payroll Diversion
The IC3 has received complaints reporting cybercriminals are
targeting the online payroll accounts of employees in a variety of
industries. Institutions most affected are education, healthcare, and
commercial airway transportation.
Cybercriminals target employees through phishing emails designed to capture an employee’s login credentials. Once the cybercriminal has obtained an employee’s credentials, the credentials are used to access the employee’s payroll account in order to change their bank account information. Rules are added by the cybercriminal to the employee’s account preventing the employee from receiving alerts regarding direct deposit changes. Direct deposits are then changed and redirected to an account controlled by the cybercriminal, which is often a prepaid card.

FBI warns of hackers targeting direct deposit accounts
........ The FBI recommends employers and employees do the following:
FBI warns of hackers targeting direct deposit accounts
- Let your workforce know about the payroll phishing scheme and provide preventative and reactive strategies.
- Employees should use their computer mouse to hover over any hyperlinks included in an email so they can see the actual URL and ensure it is related to the company it claims to be.
- Employees should avoid providing login credentials or identifying information in response to any email.
- Employers should ask employees to forward suspicious email to information technology or human resources.
- Employees should ensure payroll credentials are different from login information used for other purposes.
- Employers should apply heightened scrutiny to employee changes or updates to direct deposit information or logins that occur outside normal business hours.
- Employers should restrict access to the internet on systems handling sensitive information or implement two-factor authentication.

Americans Want to Believe Jobs Are the Solution to Poverty. They’re Not.
U.S. unemployment is down and jobs are going unfilled. But for people
without much education, the real question is: Do those jobs pay enough
to live on?

Hundreds of pot-bellied pigs seized from Kentucky farm
FALMOUTH, Ky. (AP) — Authorities have seized hundreds of pot-bellied pigs from a farm in northern Kentucky.
News outlets report rescue groups are pitching in to find homes for more than 450 pigs after the state seized them last week from a farm in Falmouth. Most of the pigs are malnourished and some are pregnant.
Farm owner Lori Tristan says she had started a rescue operation but realized she could not care for that many animals.
Rescue group officials say they’re hoping donations will help offset the cost of veterinary care and to relocate the animals.
